My Areas of Focus

Research

including ethnographic, participatory, and evaluative research. Some of these methods include interviewing, contextual inquiry, heuristic analysis, and utilizing the system usability scale.

Experience Design

stakeholder mapping, personas, experience diagramming, concept mapping, and statement starters. Once the problem is identified I’ll use thumbnail sketching, wireframes and prototypes to bring new ideas to life.

Visual Design

I am obsessed with clean design. I’ve created style guides for national brands which include typography, layout, color, and photography.

Tactical Airspace Integration System

TAIS was redesigned for the US Army to improve the usability of the application, which in return increased soldier ramp up and reduce response time.

Brad is a highly talented User Experience designer whose consulting was integral to Higgle in the early days, and we continued to use his design principles as we grew and built the platform. He has a great ability to match the right UX method to solve a customer need.

When I think of Brad, the first thing I think of is his passion for design. In our time together at General Dynamics, I watched him breathe new life into projects, making an immediate impact on their trajectory

I worked with Brad on an airspace management system for the US Army. On this project he demonstrated the ability to build camaraderie with our system users, using human-centered design techniques to understand their needs and pain points. He then used this knowledge to create intuitive and efficient UI/UX designs and refined these through multiple user evaluations
